Tiny Winged Fairy

Write about what your mother would do if she encountered a tiny winged fairy. This fairy can talk. Most of us can imagine our mom's reactions to everything. That's why having a conversation with mom can be a one-way street, because you can anticipate what she will say.

But instead of thus creating conversation havoc with her, try instead to make it an inspiring and hilarious start to a fairy story.

Normal Language

Write in normal everyday language and repeat every few phrases to sound out the rhythm, on paper. There are some great poems by Gertrude Stein that have this ordinary voice but show interesting replay. Take inspiration from normal conversations and hone it.

Poetry Prompt: Complicated Love

It is too complicated and crowded a field to be writing a poem about love... but it is the crowning glory of human existence and we poets cannot escape going through that over and over, to pen the moments, to exult and despair about the myriad aspects of love. It is fitting to write about love, everyday, even.

So write a poem today about love. The most complicated love you have in your life or had.
